What is Myofunctional Therapy?

alt="Nasal breathing training with myofunctional therapy"

What we do

Myofunctional Therapy is a program used to correct the improper function of the tongue and facial muscles. It involves strengthening exercises to engage the muscles to the appropriate position to support the airway and face structures. Establishing primary breathing through the nose, proper swallowing technique, nasal breathing and supportive tongue posture addresses the root cause in Orofacial Muscle Disorders and Sleep Disordered Breathing.

Home exercises are designed to be simple and effective—just five minutes, twice a day. Therapy sessions are scheduled every two weeks and can be completed in person, virtually, or with a combination of both for your convenience.
